Madhuri Dixit launches contemporary dance festival in Mumbai

In a bid to celebrate International Dance Day, Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit and Indian dancer and choreographer, Terence Lewis, launched contemporary dance festival in showbiz capital, Mumbai. The five-day dance festival, 'Jugnee', first ever contemporary festival in Mumbai, would provide a platform for budding artists to show their talent. Lewis said 'Jugnee' is not site-specific and an artist can perform even under a tree. Iconic dancer Dixit is supporting the festival through her digital application 'Dance with Madhuri' (DWM). DWM is one of the first Indian apps on dance. The International Dance Day is celebrated on April 29 every year. As per reports, around 50 classical dancers performed a flash mob in southern Chennai city last year.
