First look of biopic "Gour Hari Daastan - The Freedom File" unveiled in Mumbai

The star cast of biopic "Gour Hari Daastan - The Freedom File" unveiled the film's first look in showbiz capital Mumbai. The biopic is based on the life and struggle of freedom fighter Gour Hari Das against the British and Indian bureaucracy. He belongs to Odisha. The film has been directed by Ananth Mahadevan and stars actors Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey and actresses Konkona Sen and Divya Dutta. Pathak plays the protagonist in the film while the role of his wife has been essayed by Sen. Sen said she took it upon herself as a challenge to play the role of an old woman. Though the film hasn't hit the theatres in India, it has won several honours at various film festivals. It was nominated best film at New York Indian Film Festival and is the official selection at London Indian Film Festival to be held in July this year. Pathak also won best actor award for the film at Extravagant Indian Film Festival in Paris this March. The film's script has been written by renowned journalist CP Surendran.
