1. His mastery of guy-liner: Some guys wear guy-liner to appear edgy and mysterious, some guys just ARE edgy and mysterious with or without it. Depp’s worn the peeper picker-upper both on and off-screen.

2. His private island in the Caribbean: He may not be a real-life pirate, but the "Pirates of the Caribbean” actor owns a 45-acre island called Little Hall’s Pond Cay in the same spot his famed films are set. “Money doesn’t buy you happiness, but it buys you a big enough yacht to sail right up to it,” he said of buying the island in 2004.

The fact that he names beaches after friends and family: Little Hall's Pond Cay features six different beaches, which Depp named after his former girlfriend Vanessa Paradis, his children Lily Rose and Jack, pal Hunter S. Thompson, and mentor Marlon Brando. He even designated a patch of water for deceased actor Heath Ledger called “Heath’s Place."
