Top 5 movie picks for the weekend: April 11-12, 2014

Thinking of hitting the cinemas this weekend? Here are the top five movies to look out for:

Rio 2
The entire cast of the animated smash Rio returns in Rio 2, and they are joined by a new flock of top actors and musical talents.
Rich with grandeur, character, colour and music, Rio 2 finds Jewel (Anne Hathaway), Blu (Jesse Eisenberg) and their three kids leaving their domesticated life in that magical city for a journey to the Amazon. They encounter a menagerie of characters who are born to be wild, voiced by Andy Garcia, Rita Moreno, Bruno Mars, and Kristin Chenoweth.

Bhoothnath Returns
As he returns to 'Bhoot World', Bhoothnath (played by Amitabh Bachchan) is greeted with taunts and condemnation from other ghosts for bringing disrepute to the ghost-community for getting bullied by a kid on Earth. Post the humiliation, Bhoothnath decides to redeem himself and come back to scare a bunch of kids. Bhoothnath's search for kids brings him to Akhrot, a slum kid who is also the only person who can see him.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and battles a new threat from old history: the Soviet agent known as the Winter Soldier.

Need for Speed
Fresh from prison, a street racer who was framed by a wealthy business associate joins a cross country race with revenge in mind. His ex-partner, learning of the plan, places a massive bounty on his head as the race begins.

Halawet Roh
The controversial Arabic movie starring Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe is finally released this weekend. Scenes of a sexual nature were cut from the drama by the Cairo Censorship Committee.
