Taylor Swift ‘Turns Down Offer To Earn Millions At Wedding Gig’ To Perform At Her Godson’s Christening For Free

Reason #9853850 why we love Taylor Swift: She reportedly turned down the opportunity to earn MILLIONS by singing at a wedding to attend her godson’s christening and sing some songs there instead. For free.

A heart of gold and generally sweeter than a whole fairground full of candy floss? Yep, it’s official. Swifty is the real MVP.

According to the Sunday Express, the 25-year-old was offered the chance to earn a million dollars a song to sing at a billionaire’s wedding.

Yes, you did read that correctly. ONE. MILLION. DOLLARS. PER. SONG. Approximately two million pounds sterling for three songs, apparently. Excuse us while we go and stir fry our brains because we cannot process this.

Especially when we’re sitting here with £1.30 and a piece of chewing gum to our name.

The report claims the tycoon, who T-Swiz won’t be naming, also requested the singer spent 30 minutes mingling with him, his bride and their wedding guests as part of the deal.

However, understandably, Taylor and her heart the size of Jupiter instead opted to pop to Jaime King’s home in LA to attend and perform at the christening of her five-week-old son Leo, who is Swifty’s godson.

N’aww.

A guest told the Sunday Express: “Taylor arrived with her own music backing tracks and belted out some of her biggest hits, including Love Story, I Knew You Were Trouble and Red.

“She even rocked little Leo in her arms and hummed a lullaby to him. But he started screaming almost immediately, so she sheepishly handed him back to his mom.”

Don’t worry, Taylor. We’ve all been there.

The guest continued: “You have to admire her for putting friendship ahead of fi nancial considerations. She said no to a small fortune so she could bring happiness to a good friend.”

Jaime and her husband Kyle Newman were reportedly “deliriously happy” about their friend’s “sweet gesture,” with Taylor herself getting “a little teary-eyed” at one point.

She apparently later told Jaime “how lucky she was to have such a wonderful family.”

No, we’re not crying. We’re just got something in our eye. Like some dust. Or a very long stick.

This is all super lovely stuff, and if you need us today, we’ll probably be found trying to persuade everyone that yes, it IS worth paying us a million pounds to hear our singing voice. Honest.
