Is Priyanka Chopra trying hard to be an item queen?

Looks like Bollywood actresses are rather competing to be the hottest item queens in tinsel town than doing meaty or meaningful roles. Almost all leading ladies of Bollywood like Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Deepika Padukone, Bipasha Basu, Madhuri Dixit, Shilpa Shetty, Mallika Sherawat, etc have dabbled in item songs and have been immensely popular. In fact doing a special item number has become a prerequisite for an actress to propel their career in Bollywood now. Under such scenario how can Priyanka Chopra lag behind and not join the bandwagon?
She, too, took up item songs, whether popular or not, to pose as B-town's item girl. Interestingly, in an year she did three back-to-back item numbers like 'Babli Badmaash' in SHOOTOUT AT WADALA, 'Pinky' in ZANJEER and now she will be seen doing one in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's RAM-LEELA. However, the first two songs 'Babli Badmaash' and 'Pinky' didn't do anything good for her. They were not lapped up by the audience and went unnoticed, despite Priyanka Chopra's hard work. But it seems Priyanka is also determined!
Now, once again the leggy lass is trying her bit to emerge as the seductive item girl through Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film. And indeed it appears so! Going by the first look of Priyanka Chopra's item song in RAM-LEELA, the actress, clad in a white choli and dhoti along with thigh high-slit and heavy bracelet and anklets, is all set for a dhamkedaar dance on-screen. Also, as we all know how grandiose the songs are, especially dancing numbers, in SLB's films. Who can forget the famous dance number 'Dola Re' from the film DEVDAS, where Madhuri and Aishwarya shook their legs together?
Moreover, the said item song from Sanjay Leela's film is choreographed by dancing guru Prabbhudeva's brother Vishnu Deva. So, you know what to expect from the item number.
Well, looking at the whole preparation and Priyanka's resolve, wethink the girl after proving her singing talent, is set to win hearts with an 'exotic' item song too!
