Is it the right time for a Piolo Pascual-Sarah Geronimo V-Day movie?

Piolo Pascual and Sarah Geronimo’s Valentine’s movie might not push through.

“With the recent developments, parang hindi na yata tuloy yung (movie with ) Sarah but I cannot speak for Star Cinema,” Piolo said at the press conference of his newest endorsement Silka Papaya Soap on Tuesday, January 13.

Piolo said last October that he wants to have a good concept for the movie because his and Sarah’s respective films have good box office records.

With only a month to go before Valentine’s season, Piolo admitted the cameras have not yet started rolling for the movie.

“May ibang concerns ang Star Cinema. Sila ang magde-decide kung matutuloy. So dapat February (release), hindi kami natuloy nung December (to shoot). So I can’t speak for them.”

Not the right project

Piolo will meet with Star Cinema next week and looks forward to working with Sarah.

“Of course, I want to work with Sarah. But I think it’s not the right project or it’s not the right story.”

Piolo said in a previous interview that he doesn’t want to sacrifice his movie’s quality just to meet a deadline.

“I’d rather prioritize na matapos nang maayos kaysa may deadline. Ayaw kong nagmamadali sa pelikula kasi nakaka-stress, nakaka-pressure. Magsa-suffer ang quality. Not for anything, but mas maganda na yung napapaganda pa na may oras ka. So kung hindi na umabot, it’s not about the playdate anyway. Basta may maganda kang pelikula, it doesn’t matter kalian ipapalabas.”
