It is not just the weddings that are getting bigger and fatter, even ‘big fat engagements’ are becoming the new fad of today. We are talking about a lavish and over-the-top ring ceremony of Parth Jindal and Anushree Jasani. They are none other than JSW Steel's Chairman and MD, Sajjan Jindal's son and the only daughter of Uday and Nunu Jasani of Jasani realty.
The couple reportedly studied together at the Cathedral and John Connon School, and after dating each other for seven years, decided to take the plunge. Their bond of love was further sealed by the affirmation from their families. And, the couple captured the attention of social media with their fairytale engagement celebration which culminated into an eternal bond. The mind-boggling celebrations kick started with the roka ceremony on the morning of July 18, 2015, (Saturday) hosted by the parents of the bride-to-be at their Napean Sea Road residence. However, the roka ceremony was a close-knit affair, and was attended by the only immediate family members and friends. Garba, a typical Gujarati folk dance performance by the family members, was the specialty of this event.

For reputed business tycoons, the welcome had to be equally majestic and flawless. They spared no expenses on making the night a majestic affair, and hence chose the plush Taj Mahal Palace, in Mumbai. The entire event stood out with great décor, lavish amenities and contemporary setting. There were breathtakingly beautiful flowers from Holland that created a romantic and lively ambience.

The mega celebration saw the crème de la crème of the business world in attendance. The Jindal family reportedly invited around 2000 guests including a number of socialites and politicians from around the city. The Ambanis, the Ruias, the Mittals and the Piramals were just few of the many who hogged the limelight at the do. Praful Patel and Uddhav Thackeray were among the most prominent politicians on their guest list.

Wedding bells
Parth, who works closely with the JSW Institute of Sport, is currently in the midst of a two-year MBA program at Harvard. After completing his graduation, the couple plans to exchange vows in Vienna, Europe sometime between May and July.
