Yahoo News Bollywood Actor Shahid Kapoor To Marry A Delhi Girl Soon
He stole a million hearts in his debut movie, Ishq Vishk, and now, the actor is all set to break a million hearts. Confused? Well our very own pin-up boy, Shahid Kapoor has finally decided to tie the knot. Till a while back, there were strong rumours doing the rounds of the media and the film fraternity, that the heartthrob will soon be taking the plunge into matrimony with a Delhi girl, Mira Rajput. As per reports, the bride-to-be is a third-year English (Hons.) student at Lady Shriram College, Delhi University. She has done her schooling from Vasant Valley School, Delhi.
Apparently, Shahid met Mira through the religious group, Radha Soami Satsang Beas. Both Shahid and his father Pankaj Kapur, are devout followers of the group. According to rumours, the two had got engaged in January this year, on Makar Sankranti (January 14). However, the rumours were not totally baseless as Shahid has confirmed the news (to an extent), in an official statement issued to the media.

At an awards function, Hindustan Times Mumbai Most Stylish Awards 2015, held on March 26, 2015, the actor opened up about his 'relationship status'.
To all the questions asked about his engagement and wedding, the actor confessed:
"I'm not engaged but what you have been reading is kind of true. Marriage is on the cards sometimes towards the end of the year. I thought it was important for me to acknowledge it in front of the media."
The actor also emphasised that he would not like to share any other detail because he did not want the media to intrude in his 'personal space'. When asked about the girl in his life, he did, however, give some hints about what his bride-to-be was like:
"I am just a normal guy and she is a normal girl and we should treat it like something that is normal and regular. That is how I look at it. It is my personal space. But I am very happy to announce it to everyone."

According to the grapevine, Shahid’s father had also visited Mira's house in Chhatarpur, South Delhi, to meet her parents a few days back. It was speculated that he had gone there to discuss the wedding plans

Shahid had already been dropping hints about his romantic alliance! He had made a statement a while ago on the chat show Koffee With Karan, about how he wanted to get married to someone who does not belong to the film industry. He had said that he wanted a girl who was not from the movie background so that he could develop a different perspective on life.

Nobody in the media has spotted the couple together, but Mira reportedly did visit Mumbai for a while. The paparazzi tried to catch a few glimpses, but could not lay their hands on anything major.

Shahid between Delhi & Mumbai
Well, we also dug out something related to Shahid's whereabouts on January 13 and 14, 2015, the day of his 'supposed engagement'. Shahid was incidentally in Delhi on January 13. He was here for the launch of Fortis Radiance, at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon, Haryana. He wrote on his Twitter that day, "At the launch of Fortis Radiance - an aesthetic centre launched at Fortis Memorial Research Institute today." And, by the evening of January 14, Shahid was back in Mumbai for sure as he attended and posted photos from the 21st Life OK Screen Awards, on his Twitter and Instagram.
So, for now we know, that Shahid was certainly in Delhi, just a day before the media reported his 'engagement' with Mira.
Rumours galore on social media
Ever since the news about Shahid's wedding was published, Facebook and Twitter went viral with the news. Fans were both sad and ecstatic. @kabir_Juneja tweeted, "Bcoz i also dun want Shahid to marry any Actress or any girl who belongs to b.Town ! M too Happy for my Brother #ShahidKapoor." Another disappointed fan @harpreetk0607 tweeted, “OMG: Shahid looses his heart to Mira.” A lot of young female fans are totally disappointed as they did believe that they will, at some point, be able to marry their idol!

Other link-ups
The actor has been linked-up with a lot of Bollywood actresses in the past. His longest and most roaring affair was with the actress, Kareena Kapoor. But, that came to an abrupt end when Kareena shifted loyalties to the actor, Saif Ali Khan. Shahid has also been linked up with Priyanka Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha and Alia Bhatt.

All the reports of Shahid's impending wedding are largely based on what is being revealed by the 'inside' sources. What further adds fuel to the fire is the fact that he has been spotted with a 'mystery girl' often.
