Ali Fazal steps into Arjun Rampal's LOVE AFFAIR!

The project that has been in news for some time now is the movie titled LOVE AFFAIR by Alia Bhatt's mother Soni Raazdan with Kalki Koechlin and Gulshan Devaiah along with Monica Dongra. Earlier Arjun Rampal was roped in for the same project however; Ali Fazal will be doing this film now. A lot of changes have happened ever since this project was announced earlier Kalki's role was to be played by Karishma Kotak.
The film is about infidelity in marriage, Ali will be playing Kalki's husband, while Gulshan will be seen as her lover. And Monica plays sister. It is rumored that the film is loosely based on the real life case of 1959, probably the first passion crime reported in the pages of crime. This is will be second directorial venture of Soni Raazdan but a big one with such a strong cast.
Confirming this news Ali says, "Yes I have been approached for the part in what I call the wee hours of the movie's commencement, to replace Mr. Arjun Rampal. Due to some issues. I read the part and said yes immediately, it's a challenging role, so I am still waking from the reality of it. And already immersed in the looks and costumes of the film because there is very little time to prepare."
