Aamir Khan's P.K. to release on 19th December 2014

A few months ago there were reports that Anurag Kashyap's Ranbir Kapoor starrer BOMBAY VELVET and Aamir Khan's P.K. are set to clash, as the two biggies are placed to arrive on the same time i.e. Christmas. However, a couple of days back there was an update that Anurag is planning to push back his film.
While Anurag's BOMBAY VELVET release is yet to be known, the makers of P.K. going ahead have announced the date for Aamir Khan starrer P.K. In a press release issued to the media, it states that "Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films, in association with Disney India, confirms that P.K. shall release on 19th December 2014."
Considering his past successes like DHOOM:3, 3 IDIOTS, GHAJINI, TAARE ZAMEEN PAR, which were released around Christmas, do we have yet another hit in the making in the form of Aamir's P.K.?
