Simon Cowell Won't Let Katie Hopkins Anywhere Near The Britain's Got Talent Judging Panel

It's a definite 'NO' from Simon Cowell when it comes to letting Katie Hopkins joining the Britain's Got Talent judging panel.

Yep, asked about whether he'd let the loudmouth anywhere near his precious buzzer (not a euphemism, guys), Simon has given the firmest NO and the harshest critique we've ever heard.

Soz, Katie.

The 55-year-old was down at the ELLE Style Awards last night to collect the incredible award for Outstanding Contribution to Entertainment from the magazine's editor-in-chief Lorraine Candy when he was asked about the potential panel addition.

CONGRATS, SIMON, by the way. What would we do on Saturday nights without your X Factor/BGT masterpieces, eh?

Digital Spy asked the music mogul about the rumours surrounding Katie and BGT, to which Simon replied with his harshest 'no' ever.

And considering we're talking about Simon here, we'd prepare ourselves for something that might make you wince if we were you.

He replied: "I'd rather take a bath, fill it with vinegar, cut myself a thousand times, immerse myself slowly for an hour than work with her."

So that's a no then?

"So the answer is no!"

OUCH.

Did anyone else actually feel a bit of pain reading that? Like, a stinging pain, similar to the torture of putting a graze into a small bowl of TCP?

Yep, us too. Would you like some ice for that burn, Katie?

Recently, the 40-year-old rent-a-gob discussed the possibility of appearing on the talent show panel to press on of those big X buzzers, saying: "There is a role for a Miss Nasty on any panel.

"We don't have any good Miss Nasties at the moment because everyone wants to be sweet like Cheryl Cole.

"They want to be loved. It would be good to have someone different. There's absolutely more TV coming up for me."

Watch out, world. Katie could be coming to a TV screen near you soon!

Meanwhile, Amanda Holden has been talking about potentially leaving the show, saying she could leave after the show reaches the ten year mark next year.

She explained: "Every year Britain’s Got Talent feels fresh. It always feels like a new job to me.

“But next year will be my tenth year on the show and I would love to make it to ten and then call it a day. I think ten years is an amazing feat.

“After that I want a nice big clock and a holiday in the sun as a retirement package.”

We'll miss you, Amanda!

Perhaps Simon will have warmed to Katie by that point. Well, it's worth a shot anyway.
