Interview: Egyptian superstar Mohamed Henedy on his new football show, Al Captain

Yahoo Maktoob has announced the launch of two new original video productions coinciding with the FIFA World Cup event in Brazil, starring Egyptian comedy star Mohamed Henedy and Omar Hussein from Saudi Arabia’s UTURN.

Al Captain, featuring Henedy in his first foray into web production, follows the popular funnyman as he makes the trip to Spain, home to many football stars. He spends his time there meeting people and sharing his passion for the game, while humorously reflecting on his unrealised childhood dream of becoming a football player having attended football schools in his younger years.

As for Omar Hussein, a self confessed football novice, audiences will see him in Brazil La Tkalimni going to Brazil and immersing himself in World Cup mania. He descends into the host country during the most exciting sporting event of the year to learn about the game that he doesn’t know very much about, and joins people from all over the world as they celebrate the games. Omar also makes some appearances in Henedy’s show.

Al Captain comes in 30 episodes, with the first launching on June 22, and Brazil La Tkalimni comes in 15 episodes launching on June 28.
