Dr. Rey Salinel, familiar to viewers of the TV show “Salamat Dok” as dispenser of sound health advice, has yet another suggestion: cayenne pepper.

“Available ang cayenne pepper (siling labuyo is one of its varieties) as McCormick flavoring. But the percentage is not too much,” he said.

So he is recommending Capsinesis, a natural food supplement with cayenne pepper as its main content.

Salinel recites cayenne pepper’s benefits.

“It makes you sweat from inside. It stimulates saliva production to help digest food. It also suppresses appetite by sending a signal to your brain to desensitize the appetite center.”

Anti-oxidant

No wonder celebrity fitness coach Toni Saret swears by cayenne pepper.

Her fitness mantra is “exercise, the proper diet and cayenne pepper.”

Learning from experience

Toni has experience to back her up. Unbelievable as it seems, Toni tipped the scales at 200 pounds many years back. She was down and out. She hid behind extra large clothes. She huffed and puffed when climbing the stairs.

So she didn’t lose time. She tried a detox program with cayenne pepper as main ingredient.

“I took a mixture of lemon, cayenne pepper, non-iodized salt, water and maple syrup.”

Toni lost seven pounds in just five days.

“When I did my research, I discovered so many wonderful benefits of cayenne pepper, one of which is how it aids in digestion. Cayenne pepper produces gastric juices, including enzymes that help the digestive process.”

Natural sauna
