Sarah vs. Gloc-9 in Myx Music Awards

Music fans can now vote for their favorite Pinoy and foreign singers as music channel MYX announced its nominees for the 2014 MYX Music Awards on Tuesday, February 18.

Popstar princess Sarah Geronimo and award-winning rapper Gloc-9  have  the most number of nominations, with six and seven nods, respectively.  The two are competing in the Favorite Music Video, Favorite Song and Favorite Artist categories.

Sarah’s entries

Sarah's single "Ikot-Ikot" from the her Expressions album earned two nominations, while her movie soundtrack "It Takes a Man and a Woman" got nominated for Favorite Remake and Favorite Media Soundtrack.

Gloc-9, who is nominated for his song "Magda," won three trophies for Favorite Song, Favorite Collaboration and Favorite MYX Live Performance  in the 2013 MYX Music Awards.

Other nominees include  Daniel Padilla, Yeng Constantino and Jireh Lim. Daniel has three nominations, including Favorite Song, Favorite Artist and Favorite Male Artist.

Nominees’ appeal

As soon as the nominees were announced, local artists started asking fans for support. Fans can vote through MYX official website and Facebook page.

The awards night will be held on March 26.
