Miss Earth 2014: Miss Tahiti Hereata Ellard
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
My main concern is the ocean, as we are surrounded by it.
We need to keep it clean and protect it for future generations.
Polynesians lived for thousands of years depending on the ocean, not only for travel but for its rich food source.
The beauty of it draws tourists from all over the world to our white sand beaches and blue lagoons, as tourism is the number one driver of our economy.
