Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby won't fight over a girl

Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual is not hurt over reports that his friend, Sam Milby, is dating his (Piolo’s) former love interest, Shaina Magdayao.

“Hindi naman siguro kami aabot sa suntukan dahil sa babae. He’s a good man. Kung ano man ang diskarte niya sa buhay, sa kanya na iyon,” Piolo said in an interview after the press conference of his newest endorsement, Barley Max food supplement on Tuesday, September 2.

Mutual respect

Piolo adds that he and Sam respect each other so much, they won’t let the issue affect their long-standing friendship.

“Whatever differences we may have, I think we’re mature enough not to even cross the line, in terms of defending each other. I guess, Sam and I are brothers more than friends. We’re friends, we have the same circle of friends. Whatever is happening, men don’t talk. Wala kaming dapat pag-usapan. Nagkakataon lang na napakaliit lang ng mundo na ginagalawan natin.”

Piolo and Shaina’s friendship may have not blossomed into romance, but they have remained close.

Friends for a long time

 “Shaina and I are good. Last Sunday in ASAP, we were able to catch up a bit. She went out with my siblings, friends, iyon ang maganda, preserved yung friendship. Sa napakaliit na mundo na ginagalawan natin, it’s important to have trust and respect. And at the same time, komportable ka sa ginagalawan mo. I guess Shaina and I will be friends for a long time. Kung saan man mapupunta iyon, nobody knows, right?” he said.
