The Kapuso actor told media at the opening of San Juan vice-mayor Francis Zamora’s Inter-School Basketball Tournament at the San Juan gym last Friday, October 17 that the Lord Himself is guiding him and Marian on that day.

Marian’s day

Wedding preparations are going smoothly. The couple is getting many offers from designers who want to make sure they look great on their wedding day.

Dingdong is happy to note that he and Marian have yet to disagree on wedding details.

“It’s just around 70 days to go (before he gets married). It’s Marian’s day. Whatever makes her happy is okay with me.”

Dingdong has chosen KC Montero, one of his friends way back during their SOP days on GMA 7, as one of the groomsmen.

The names of the other members of the entourage are still under wraps.

Inspirational speakers

James Yap, who, like Dingdong, said yes to Zamora’s invite to act as inspirational speaker at the basketball tournament for the city’s public school students, is not about to follow in the actor’s footsteps yet.

The PBA star told the press he’s not yet ready to pop the question to Italian girlfriend Michela Cazzola.

And while James came to the event as a basketball star, Dingdong was there are as Chair of the National Youth Commission, which aims to empower young people through education and other programs.

The actor expects a busy December, which will also see him promoting his Metro Filmfest entry, the action- comedy-horror, “Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2.”

Always a planner

Marian also has a Metro Filmfest entry, “Big Bossing’s Adventure” with Vic Sotto.

Year 2015, says Dingdong, will be just as full. Aside from starting a family of his own (his dream house is said to be under construction), Dingdong plans to go around the country as head of the National Youth Commission, and continue his work as an actor.

“I plan the milestone events,” he replies when asked how he will manage his packed schedule. Otherwise, he lives from day to day, facing the challenges as they come along.

Dingdong and James distributed sports equipment to the 21 San Juan barangays as part of the city's sports and anti-drug abuse awareness program.
