Andi Eigenmann, Jake Ejercito blast Albie Casino

Andi Eigenmann and former boyfriend Jake Ejercito criticized Albie Casino for telling reporters there is "no concrete evidence" that he’s the father of the actress' three-year-old daughter Ellie.

"From the start, there was always me and Jake Ejercito (Andi’s former boyfriend). There was always the two of us. I don’t know why everyone thinks it was me. There is no concrete evidence. She just said it was me. She never gave me a DNA test. I don’t know why people automatically assume it was me," Albie said.

'Desperate promo ploy'

Albie's statement did not sit well with Jake, who called it a "desperate showbiz promo ploy."

"As much as I wouldn't wanna recognise such a futile statement with a reply, it's never right to involve the innocent, specially when it's a kid. Ellie shouldn't be an embarrassment to anyone. She or anyone from her side has never bothered anyone for anything. It's a shame some people choose to use a sweet little ball of awesomeness in nothing but a desperate showbiz promo ploy," Jake replied to a netizen, who asked for his opinion about Albie's statement.

Andi agrees.

Big deal again

"I just wish he chose to do the more civil and educated thing to do which is to talk to me about it first instead of going on the news and use it as some sort of a promo or a ploy," Andi said in an interview on ABS-CBN News.

The Kapamilya actress stressed that she has always been independent from Albie.

“Sa akin lang, I never really asked anything from him or made him act like a father or be one to my daughter regardless of the fact that he is the father of my daughter or not. I don’t need him. He doesn't need to a part of our lives. We never asked anything from him so I don’t understand why all of sudden, it’s a big deal again,

Andi and Albie traded accusations against each other when the former was pregnant with Ellie.
